Szolgálati közlemények következnek.

Először is felhívnám a figyelmet a Konfliktus és konspiráció projektre. Ennek részeként a Budapest - és véletlenül sem Líbia - felett átröppenő Gripenek árnyékában, augusztus 20-án délután ültünk össze egy, két, néhány korsó sör mellett (a kezdeményező konspirátor) Benicsák Péterrel, Wagner Péterrel és a KatPol szerkesztőségéből SchA-val és Rammjaegerrel. Többek között a líbiai eseményeket tárgyaltuk meg, és ennek a beszélgetésnek a felvétele, Bányász Péter gondozásában, meghallgatható a projekt saját oldalán.

A terv az, hogy ez egy rendszeres podcast lesz, és a későbbi beszélgetések is itt lesznek majd elérhetők.

A másik - ha már ez egy ilyen pószt -, hogy július 29-én megjelent az ezen a blogon már utalás szintjén említett könyvünk a Routledge kiadónál. Nik Hynek szerzőtársammal szerkesztettük, illetve vele írtuk a nyitófejezetet. A téma a koalíciós teherviselés Afganisztánban, az ISAF koalícióban, és a nyitófejezet adta elméleti keret mellé sok kiváló szerzőt sikerült megnyerni a projekthez, hogy esettanulmányokat írjanak. A magyar fejezetet Wagner Péterrel írtuk ketten. Közlök itt egy képet a könyv borítójáról, illetve a tartalomjegyzéket is bemásolom.

libya:
szerintem van egy bunker a rixos hotel alatt, es Kadafi ott bujkal. a nyugati ujsagirokat hasznalta "human shield"-ként.
nem veletlen, hogy nem engedtek, hogy azok az ujsagirok barhova menjenek. meg most sem engedik. jobban vedik a hotel kornyeket, mint a HQ-t

In May journalists based at Tripoli's Rixos Hotel claimed Gaddafi used an underground tunnel to travel from his compound at Bab al-Aziziya around a mile away.
Reporters said he suddenly emerged in one of the hotel's conference rooms having not been seen entering the building through the main entrance.

@Link Elek: Kadafi valamiért viszonylag nyugodt tudott maradni a végéig... Saif al-Islam fiáról nem is beszélve. De azért elszámíthatja magát könnyen, túl gyorsan változik már a helyzet ahhoz.

Közben, ha jól emlékszem, többek között holland és svájci cég is részt vett a bunkerépítésben (európai részről, amit említ a cikk). Mostanra a NATO-nak, feltételezem, sikerült beszerezni a lényeges információkat erről a komplexumról, bár Kadafiék biztos csináltak hozzá módosításokat és bővítéseket saját szakállra is.

valamiert nagyon kell, hogy a rixos-ban maradjanak kulfoldiek.

Kadafi abban nem bizhat, hogy amerika nem talalja meg, sem abban, hogy nem tudja kibombazni akarmilyen melyre epitett bunkerbol. amiben bizhat, hogy amerika nem bombaz le nyugati ujsagirokat.

Úgy tűnik, Kadafi az utolsó körre is gondolt előre. A Rixos viszonylagos menedék lehet, ha nem is feltétlenül neki személyesen (bár az sincs kizárva). Közben pedig a városban lojalisták vegyültek el többfelé, és ha a nem túl informatív tudósítások alapján jól látom, swarming taktikával élnek, és igyekeznek felforgatni.

Rhodes also addressed the effects the developments in Libya may have on Syria, saying that "it sends a message to Damascus that a crackdown of the sort that Qaddafi and [Syrian President Bashar al-] Assad have pursued is not a means of maintaining legitimacy and staying in power in the long run."
Rhodes said that a transition to democracy in Syria is in the U.S. national interest, and would weaken Iran's ability to influence regional events.

Between Libyan rebels' false announcement about the arrest of Moammar Gadhafi's most powerful son and his surreal reappearance in front of a Tripoli hotel, some 30 officers guarding Gadhafi's compound laid down their arms, according to the rebels.
Although it cost the rebels credibility on the international stage, the misleading news was used by the opposition as a way to ease Gadhafi loyalists' grip on power. It appears to have been a success.

@Link Elek: tény, hogy Obamának egyelőre jobban jön ki a lépés. Igaz, Irakkal kapcsolatban pl. Clinton hiába próbálta Chalabiékkal és a kurdokkal összehozni Szaddám megdöntését, az nem sült el ilyen jól, és a jövőben is esetről esetre nagyon mások lesznek a körülmények - ha annyira muszáj beavatkozni valahol.

A Time-os cikkre írtam teljesen új pósztot, mindjárt kint lesz...

That discovery, said some rebels, suggested that the area might have been planned as a staging ground by Gaddafi's forces in the event of a last-resort battle for Tripoli. A Sky News correspondent reported seeing dozens of corpses of Gaddafi fighters stacked in tents near the hotel.

@Link Elek: taktikai előny biztosan származott belőle, de az élő adásban bejelentkezgető újságírók sorsa akár komolyabb alkuk tárgya is lehetett. Meglátjuk, ha meglátjuk...
